European Train Enthusiasts Information

European Train Enthusiasts

European Train Enthusiasts, Inc. (ETE) is the premiere North American organization focused on educating the public on the subject of European Railroading. Founded in 1973, ETE serves modelers, railway fans, related organizations, and the community at-large through public events, working model displays and media presentations. Membership in ETE is open to anyone who has an interest in the railways of Europe, whether model or full scale. As a Regular Member you will receive our quarterly journal, the ETE EXPRESS, which is full of railway histories, modeler how-tos and prototype news.

Members are also eligible to join Local Chapters where you can share your interest in European railroading with others. Participating with a local chapter enhances your hobby experience by putting you in direct contact with others who share your interests.

ETE reflects the broad and diverse interests of its members and the communities it serves. Among the membership you will find amateur historians, travel enthusiasts, and preservationists. For modelers, virtually every scale, gauge, and control system (DC, AC, and DCC) is represented. Many chapters also have well-established special interest groups (SIGs) that build and operate transportable Modular Display Layouts at public venues.
