Old Colony Model Railroad Club Information

The Old Colony Model Railroad Club was founded in 1997 and is located on the second floor, Suite 16 at 770 Broadway in Raynham, MA. We meet on Wednesday evenings.
Our 2,000 plus square foot layout features a double track mainline and an extensive branch line. There are three major yards and numerous industries to switch along the line.
The layout is controlled by an NCE DCC system with both tethered and wireless throttles. The layout may also be controlled with a smart phone ap. The Engineering Dept has removed all the abandoned DC system wiring and is in the process of replacing many of our original turnouts. They’re also planning ahead for installation of Dispatcher control as well as a new signal system.
There are several areas on the layout that need scenery or buildings installed. Even after all these years there’s still real estate that remains undeveloped!
We hold formal Operating Sessions each month running through freights, locals, yard jobs and passenger trains. During our op sessions we use radios to communicate with the dispatcher and yard masters as we put our trains through their paces.
