The Sunrise Trail is Division 1 of the Northeastern Region 21 of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA). Any member of the NMRA in good standing who resides in the following counties of New York, is automatically a member of the STDiv: Kings (Brooklyn), Queens, The Bronx, Manhattan, Nassau, and Suffolk.

For over 40 years, the STDiv has made the events, information, and services originated by the NMRA available to model railroaders locally. We hold three events each year - one meet in the Winter, one in the Spring, and a convention in the Fall. Neither experience nor proficiency is required - all that matters is that you enjoy the hobby of model railroading.

The abilities of our members runs the gamit between novice and master, and we seek to share our knowledge with you by providing clinics at our events, as well as through conversation.

So, whether you have an interest in trains, are interested in starting out in a new hobby, or if you merely want to make some new friends whose passion is model railroading, then why not consider joining us?
